2011 Fortune Global 500 List Released

CNNMoney/Fortune released their 2011 edition of the Global 500 list, an annual ranking of the worlds biggest companies. Wal-Mart topped the list for the second year in a row, and the next three biggest companies, Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil and BP, also held their places from 2010. Sinopec Group, previously seventh last year, moved into the top five.

The top 10 companies on the 2011 Global 500 list are:

  1. Wal-Mart Stores
  2. Royal Dutch Shell
  3. Exxon Mobil
  4. BP
  5. Sinopec Group
  6. China National Petroleum
  7. State Grid
  8. Toyota Motor
  9. Japan Post Holdings
  10. Chevron
